Fife Temporary Accommodation Service

The Fife Temporary Accommodation Service provides accommodation with support at West Bridge Mill, Kirkcaldy

This service provides accommodation with support for up to 32 individuals, 16 years and older, on a shared living basis in 14 self contained flats.

We have 26 bedrooms in nine self-contained flats, where people can stay for up to two years.

We also provide six rooms to Fife Council which can be accessed through the Temporary Allocation Officers / homeless Emergency Service. The average stay in this accommodation is two to three weeks.

What do we do

Our team works with each resident to develop a tailored personal support plan which helps them learn vital independent living and employability skills.

We also help residents, who are looking for employment, access our employability services in order to explore employment/ training opportunities.

How we help

We recognise that in order for people to succeed in temporary accommodation more flexibility is needed and fewer rules than those traditionally applied in homeless projects.

So, we have found that our flexible, person-centred approach has demonstrated excellent results among our service users, with many of our tenants going on to secure a permanent tenancy.

More information

We receive referrals from a large variety of sources and accept self referrals from individuals. We are a member of the Fife Short Term Housing Support and Homelessness Public Social Partnership  (PSP).
