Board members

Overseeing LinkLiving is our Board of Management, who all give their time voluntarily to ensure LinkLiving is well run, financially stable and achieves its objectives.

Board members are drawn from all walks of life and together provide the professional and personal expertise needed to govern LinkLiving effectively and in compliance with regulatory standards.

We believe it is important that our Board includes people with experience of being a user of our services. If you are a current service user please get in touch to find out more about how you could get involved. 

Board of Management

Liz Jarvis (Chair) is Managing Director of One Search Direct, a national data company providing property information and conveyancing products.  She has been Chair of LinkLiving since 2018.  Liz’s particular interest is in social exclusion and developing the skills and positive outcomes for young people.

Caroline Cuthbertson (Vice Chair) has worked in corporate banking for over 30 years.  She is currently Operations Director for Crosswind Developments.  Caroline is a chartered banker, chartered accountant and holds an MBA.  She is also a board member of the Link Group, and is treasurer of charity Planning Aid Scotland.  Caroline brings a wide variety of experience but in particular financial, risk management and leadership expertise.  

Amanda MacKinnon (Vice Chair) works for the Royal Bank of Scotland in VAT compliance.  Amanda has a particular interest in finance, and joined the board when she recognised the need to provide care for isolated and vulnerable people in the community after her father required support as a result of dementia.

Shona Cargill has a background in climate change. She is Lead Officer (Sustainability) at Resource Efficient Solutions LLP.  She has been with LinkLiving’s board since 2012 and is a former chair.  She has a particular interest in environmental sustainability.

David Kemp is Homelessness and Financial Support Manager with Scottish Borders Council.  He has worked in the housing sector, mostly in local government, for over 30 years and has extensive experience of housing management, housing support, and homelessness.  David believes passionately in the right of everyone to live safely in a good quality home.  He joined the board of LinkLiving in 2007 and is proud to be able to contribute to the work of an organisation that makes a significant positive difference to the lives of so many people.  

Jo MacLennan has served on the LinkLiving Board since 2016. Jo previously held a number of senior roles within the NHS, Central and Scottish Government focusing on key issues within the health and social care industry such as inequalities, prevention and unscheduled care. 

Jo is now the Managing Director of MacLennan Norman, a boutique consultancy specialising in organisational change and development.  She holds a Masters degree in Business and Management and is an executive coach and accredited mediator.  Jo is passionate about the value and unique contribution each person brings to an organisation, which is in strong alignment to the purpose of LinkLiving.
