In this section you can find out about all of our latest volunteering opportunities.
Please note volunteers will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Adults scheme, the cost of which will be covered by LinkLiving.
Befrienders provide much-needed companionship and support to isolated older people, encouraging them to get involved in their local communities.
- Board members
Our Board members work alongside our senior staff to challenge assumptions in a supportive way, and ensure we continue to deliver high quality services.
- Care and Repair Handyperson
Care and Repair volunteers carry out handyperson works for disabled and older people living in North Lanarkshire who can no longer manage basic tasks.
Mentors provide a pivotal service through the support of clients who struggle in new situations, or need additional support to complete a course. This is an exciting role with a wide variety of projects.
- Peer Educator
Our Peer Educators share their own experience of living independently with young people in the Edinburgh, Falkirk and Fife areas. The purpose of this role is to raise awareness of homelessness and independent living among young people who are considering their first tenancy.
Translators act as an interpreter for our clients where English is not their first language. We look for individuals with excellent communication skills who can relay information between our clients and their Support Workers.
- Activities Co-ordinator
As Activities Co-ordinator, you will support the team in arranging interesting activities for our clients, many of which are socially isolated and can go weeks without seeing anyone.
We are always looking for new enthusiastic volunteers to join our team.
If you have any skills that you feel could benefit LinkLiving, please get in touch and we will try to find a position for you.
Service User Involvement
We are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support and service user involvement plays a vital role in helping us achieve this.
We encourage the people we work with to get involved in our recruitment and interviewing process, organising staff training sessions and arranging social events and groups.
By getting involved service users get the chance to meet new people, learn new skills and use existing skills.
