What's on?

Here is a list of our current weekly drop-in sessions that take place at the Link Academy in Falkirk.

Job Club: Tuesdays 3.30pm - 5.00pm

The Job Club teaches 16-25 year olds a range of employability skills, including:

  • CV building
  • Writing cover letters
  • Job searching
  • College/further training applications
  • Job experience
  • Interview skills

We support club participants to help them overcome interview anxiety and build resilience in regards to job searching and job knockbacks. We also provide in-job support (help with job contracts, job preparation).

Activity nights: Tuesdays 5.00pm - 7.00pm

Our Activity Nights give 16-25 year olds the chance to take part in a range of activities and socialise with other participants.

Activities include:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Gaming groups (consoles and board games)
  • Cooking
  • Training/information sessions
  • Qualification course work  

We also give participants the opportunity to voluntarily run an activity.   

 ICT Group: Wednesdays 10.00am - 12.00pm

Our ICT drop in is a self-study group, open to all ages which is run by volunteers.

Participants take part in an online course which can help them develop new skills and even gain a City & Guilds qualification.

You can also work through the ‘Open Learn’ online courses from the Open University. Examples of courses being taken by current participants include:

  • Astronomy
  • Gene therapy
  • Literacy
  • Computer systems
  • Group skills
