Trauma Skilled Practice – Frontline Staff

Who is it for? 

This training is for frontline staff who are working with people on a regular basis that may be affected by trauma.    

The overarching aim of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to realise, recognise and to respond to trauma. The training has been designed in line with the NES Transforming Psychological Trauma Framework at Level 2 ‘Trauma Skilled Practice’.    

What will you learn? 

Designed for frontline workers to develop their awareness and knowledge of the impact of trauma on individuals and society. Participants will consider how to respond using a trauma-informed approach, utilising their expertise and skills to support individuals.

How is it delivered? 

The course is delivered over 2 full-day sessions (10am – 4.30pm) face-to-face or over 3 half-day sessions (typically 9.30-1.30pm) online.   

All our sessions involve a mix of content, discussion and interactive activities to cater to different learning styles.    

Where is the course held? 

We deliver our open courses from our training venues located in Edinburgh, Fife, or Falkirk.
