Self-Help Coping Strategies

Who is it for? 

This workshop is aimed at those wanting to learn a range of coping strategies that could help support an individual’s positive mental health & well-being. This workshop is practical and considers aspects of relationship building and how to plan and implement coping strategies.   

What will you learn? 

Different strategies that could help support mental health and wellbeing. 

You will:

  • Eexplore common concerns for the individuals you work with  
  • Examine strategies that could be used for “in the moment” interventions  
  • Examine strategies that could be used for “longer-term” interventions  

The session covers:  

  • Common concerns individuals experience  
  • Managing negative thoughts  
  • Distraction techniques  
  • Grounding techniques  
  • Kindness and gratitude techniques  
  • Mindfulness  
  • Meditation  
  • Sleep hygiene  
  • Additional ‘longer-term” techniques  

How is it delivered? 

This is a 4-hour session and can be delivered face-to-face or online.  All our sessions involve a mix of thought-provoking content, group discussion and interactive activities to cater for different learning styles.    

Where is the course held? 

LinkLiving Skills Academy delivers across Scotland both online and face-to-face. We can deliver training at a venue of your choice* or we can organise your session at one of our training venues located in Edinburgh, Fife, or Falkirk. All our venues are modern and easily accessible and suitable for all your training needs.  

How much does it cost? 

£500 per workshop - max 15 participants
