Edinburgh Young Persons' Service

Our Edinburgh Young Persons’ Service provides visiting housing support, skills development and supported accommodation to people between 16 and 25 years old who live in Edinburgh.

We support young people who have experienced homelessness, trauma or any disadvantage to overcome the challenges they may face. We help them achieve their own individual goals and shape their lives for a more positive future.

We pride ourselves on constantly growing our service to meet the diverse needs of those we support. We work in a trauma-informed and person-centred way within a variety of both short-term and long-term contracts.

  1. Youth Emergency Support Service

    We offer emergency support to 16- and 17-year-olds who are going through crisis and are at risk of homelessness.
  2. Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children Project

    Visiting Housing Support for young people under 18 claiming asylum with no recourse to public funds.
  3. Supported Accommodation

    Supported temporary accommodation for people aged 16 to 25 experiencing homelessness in various parts of Edinburgh.
  1. Independent Living Skills

    We offer a 7-week course designed to help young people from any background find stability and confidence in living independently.
  2. Visiting Housing Support

    Supporting young people who have experienced homelessness explore housing options, improve employability, and develop independent living skills.
  3. Self-Directed Support

    We offer tailored support to young people who have been assessed by social work as needing long term assistance with living independently.
