Becky

Becky is one of our longest serving volunteers, having started with us in May 2016.

In the beginning, Becky struggled to attend any groups as a result of years of social isolation, but as the months went on, her confidence increased and she started to join in.

During her 18-month journey, Becky has achieved her volunteer skills SVQ qualification, a youth work personal development award and is currently in the process of completing our Step Up employability course. She is also part of our Peer Education project – where we visit youth groups and schools and speak to young people about cyber bullying, internet awareness and sexual exploitation.

With 435 volunteering hours under her wing, and a wealth of experience behind her, Becky is now looking into the possibility of a career in counselling.
