Supported Accommodation

Our supported accommodation is designed for those aged 16 to 25 with low-to-moderate support needs who have experienced homelessness and are ready to take the next step toward living independently. All our occupants have been assessed by the City of Edinburgh Council and are actively bidding for permanent homes.

We have various accommodation bases spread around the city which cater to different needs. This includes a base which prioritises those in employment to ensure affordability. The bases consist mainly of studio flats, with a few one and two bedrooms. Young people usually stay in the accommodation for between 6 months to 2 years depending on their needs.

There are Support Workers available to meet with occupants weekly and support them in building confidence with a range of independent living skills to help prepare them for moving to permanent accommodation.

How you can access this service

We work closely with The City of Edinburgh Council to allocate flats according to suitability, need and risk. To be considered, a young person needs to be referred by either their HP & HOT Housing Officer, or another suitable key worker.
